CCArts is seeking to add enthusiastic visual arts teaching artists to our dedicated team! An ideal candidate for this position will be both eager to share their passion for the arts with people of all ages & abilities, & is also a curious self-starter who can work both independently & with a small team.
The following are the current open teaching positions (as of January 2025):
• Summer camp visual arts teachers for students ages 5-14
• Youth & adult pottery instructors
• Visual and performing arts teachers who are fluent in ASL.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND FOR SUCCESS - Is this you?
• You have a BA/BS/BFA in either fine arts, art education or prior related experience teaching visual or performing arts to youth (ages 3-17) and/or adults.
• Looking for part-time employment.
• You are punctual, dependable, and flexible.
• You have working knowledge of arts education and a passion for teaching.
• You have excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• You have cultural competency skills and passion for working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop creative art activities for classes and camps that incorporate a variety of instructional methods and techniques that are age appropriate and engaging.
• Provide an appropriate supply list for each class or camp being taught in a timely manner.
• Foster caring and supportive relationships with students and provide a welcoming and accepting space for all.
• Manage classroom decorum and maintain health, safety and housekeeping in the workspace including but not limited to returning classroom to pre-set classroom standards.
• Participate in quarterly staff meetings, training and professional development opportunities.
• Model CCArts Core Values of acceptance, creative expression and collective success and uphold CCArts Community Guidelines.
The roles are part-time, independent contractor positions. The majority of positions are on-site at our Yorklyn, DE campus but some off-site positions are available. Employment is contingent on passing a background check.

COMPENSATION RANGE: $22-32/hr, commensurate with experience (a $4/hr increase available for fully enrolled classes or camps)
